2024

  • June 20th, 2024: Farewell to our lab manager, and first-ever Zeiger Lab member, Brenda. We're so proud that Brenda will be staying at UCLA for a combined MD/MPH program at the David Geffen School of Medicine this fall. 
  • June 14th, 2024: Congratulations to Sid, Ashley, and Noe on their graduation from UCLA! We will miss them as they advance in their careers towards becoming physicians.
  • May 31st, 2024: Thank you to the American Parkinson Disease Association for awarding us the 2024 Cotzias Fellowship. This funding will help support our research into the microcircuit mechanisms of posterior cortical dysfunction and cognitive impairment in Parkinson's disease.
  • May 22nd, 2024: Thank you to the Dan Lewis Foundation for Brain Regeneration Research for awarding us the 2024 DLF Prize. This prize will help support our research into the microcircuit mechanisms regulating somatosensory circuit remapping after cortical injury.
  • May 13th, 2024: Welcome to a new post-doctoral scholar, Dr. Sammy Alhassen. Dr. Alhassen joins us after completing his Ph.D. in Pharmacology at the University of California, Irvine.
  • April 8th, 2024: Thanks to Dr. Daniel Ts'o and the SUNY Upstate Medical University for inviting and hosting Dr. Zeiger for the 2024 Neuro Research Day.
  • March 25th, 2024: Dr. Zeiger presents at the inaugural UCLA "Howard and Irene Levine Family Center for Movement Disorders Symposium". Many thanks to the Levine family for their generous support of the newly established Howard and Irene Levine Family Center for Movement Disorders.

  • November 11th-15th: The 2023 Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting. Baruc, Theint Theint, and Brenda all presented posters. Our lab also co-chaired the "Rethinking Remapping" mini-symposium, at which Baruc gave an oral presentation.
